Cascading OKRs in Agility
Cascading OKRs is a way to break down company goals into smaller, clear objectives for teams and individuals. This helps everyone stay aligned and work towards the same goals.
How it Works
- Leadership team sets clear and measurable objectives for the company.
- Departments break the company-wide objectives into team goals.
- Teams further divide them into individual objectives.
With cascading OKRs, you can link a parent to an Objective, search for OKRs using the title or ID, and view the associated parent and child Objectives. The following are some important points related to Cascading OKRs
- Users can add Parents to Public objectives
- Users can only add Parents to Objectives.
- A single Parent can have multiple Objectives, however a Child can have only one Parent

How to Associate a Parent with an Objective
- Log in to Agility, click the hamburger menu > OKRs.
- Click on My OKRs tab.
- Select the Objective to which you want to add a Parent.
- Click the Dependency tab.
- In the Parent section, click + Add
- From the Objectives drop down select either Objectives or Key results
- In the search bar,
- Enter the Objective ID or Summary if you selected Objective from the drop-down or
- Enter the Key Result ID or Summary if you selected Key Results from the drop-down
- Select the Objective or Key Result and click on +
A success message indicates the addition of Parent to the selected objective. You can view the associated Parent Objective or Key result details as shown in the following image.
