Configure Agility Integration

Administrators can configure the integration between Agility and the OKR system to enable association of work items with OKRs. Only users with administrator privileges can access the OKR System Settings page.

Who Configures Agility Integration​

Integration configuration connects execution work to strategic goals:

  • Administrators set up the integration between Agility and OKRs, entering instance URLs and maintaining connection settings.
  • System Integrators work with administrators to troubleshoot connection issues and ensure work item association functions correctly.
  • Portfolio Managers rely on this integration to link portfolio items with strategic objectives and visualize execution alignment.
  • Product Owners depend on the integration to connect stories and defects with key results, showing how backlog work advances strategic goals.

Permission Requirement​

To configure Agility integration: Administrator privileges are required to access OKR System Settings and configure the Agility instance URL.

To associate work items with OKRs: All users with Agility Pro or Premium license and edit access to work items can create associations once integration is configured.

To change the Agility instance: Only administrators can update the instance URL. This operation removes all existing work item associations.

Configure Integration​

  1. Log in to Agility and click the hamburger menu Hamburger icon > OKRs > System Settings.
  2. Navigate to the Agility Configuration tab.
  3. Enter the Agility URL instance.
  4. Click Save.

The Agility instance details are saved.

Change Agility Instance​

To change the existing Agility instance:

  1. Clear the existing URL in the Agility Configuration tab.
  2. Enter the new URL.
  3. Click Update.
  4. A warning message appears: Are you sure you want to change the Agility instance? This will delete all associated work items from OKRs.
  5. Click OK to confirm.

Troubleshooting​

Why can't I access the System Settings page?

Only users with administrator privileges can access OKR System Settings. Contact your Agility administrator if you need integration configuration changes.

Why can't I associate work items with OKRs?

Verify the Agility integration is configured in OKR System Settings > Agility Configuration tab. If the integration URL is missing or incorrect, work item association will not function. Contact your administrator to verify the configuration.

What happens to existing work item associations when I change the Agility instance?

Changing the Agility instance URL removes all existing work item associations from OKRs. Objectives and key results remain intact, but their links to stories, portfolio items, and defects are deleted. Document current associations before changing the instance.

Why does the integration configuration require the full instance URL?

The system uses the instance URL to establish API connections between Agility and OKRs. Enter the complete URL (e.g., https://your-instance.agility.digital.ai) including the protocol (https) and instance name.
