Configure OKR Analytics

Administrators can configure automated data export from the OKR system to the data lake for reporting and analytics. This enables dashboard creation using OKR data.

Who Configures OKR Analytics​

Analytics configuration supports executive reporting and strategic insights:

  • Administrators configure data lake connections, set up automated export schedules, and ensure OKR data flows to analytics platforms.
  • Business Intelligence Teams work with administrators to design OKR dashboards using Objectives Summary and Key Results Summary datasets.
  • Portfolio Managers use OKR analytics dashboards to track strategic goal progress, identify at-risk objectives, and report to executives.
  • Executive Leadership consume OKR analytics reports to understand organizational alignment, delivery velocity, and strategic execution effectiveness.

Permission Requirement​

To configure OKR analytics: Administrator privileges are required to access System Settings and configure data lake integration.

To view analytics dashboards: Users need appropriate permissions in the analytics platform (separate from Agility OKR permissions). Contact your BI team for dashboard access.

To modify analytics configuration: Only administrators can update data lake connection settings or change export schedules.

Configure Analytics Integration​

  1. Log in to Agility and click the hamburger menu Hamburger icon > OKRs > System Settings.

  2. Navigate to the Analytics tab.

  3. Enter the required configuration details in the Analytics section.

  4. Click Save.

Available Datasets​

Two datasets are available for analytics reporting:

  • Objectives Summary: Aggregate data for all objectives
  • Key Results Summary: Aggregate data for all key results

Use these datasets to generate dashboards and reports.

Troubleshooting​

Why can't I access the Analytics tab in System Settings?

Only administrators can access OKR System Settings. If you need analytics configuration, contact your Agility administrator.

Why is OKR data not appearing in my analytics dashboard?

Verify the data lake connection is configured correctly in System Settings > Analytics. Contact Cloud Ops or Support for connection details and troubleshooting. Data export schedules may also cause delays in dashboard updates.

What data is included in the Objectives Summary and Key Results Summary datasets?

Objectives Summary includes aggregate data for all objectives (title, owner, progress, session, visibility). Key Results Summary includes all key results data (title, parent objective, progress, type, targets). Private objectives may be excluded based on analytics platform configuration.

How often is OKR data exported to the data lake?

Export frequency depends on your analytics configuration. Contact your administrator or BI team to understand the current schedule and request changes if needed.
