Export Requests to Excel
You can export your list of requests to a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet for analysis, reporting, or sharing with stakeholders.
Who Exports Requests to Excel
Product Owners export request data to create stakeholder reports, analyze feature request trends, and share prioritized lists with business sponsors and executives.
Team Members export requests for offline analysis, technical review sessions, and capacity planning discussions with the development team.
Business Analysts generate Excel exports to maintain requirement documentation, track request status across multiple projects, and create custom reports for different audiences.
Permission Requirement
To export requests: Members need Read access to the project.
Note: The export includes only the requests visible in your current view based on your applied filters and permissions. Requests from projects where you lack Read access will not appear in the export.
To export requests to Excel:
- Click the hamburger menu
> Product > Requests.
- Click the wrench
icon in the top corner of the grid and select Export (.xls).
The system generates an Excel file containing all visible requests based on your current filter and view settings.
Troubleshooting
Why is my Excel export empty or missing requests?
The export includes only requests visible in your current view. Check your active filters—if you're filtering by status, priority, or project, only matching requests will export. Clear filters or use Show All to export the complete list.
Can I export closed requests?
Yes. Enable the Show Closed Requests filter before exporting. By default, closed requests are filtered out and won't appear in the export unless you explicitly include them.
Why don't I see all request fields in the Excel file?
The export includes the columns visible in your current grid view. Customize your grid view to show the fields you need before exporting. Use the column configuration options to add or remove fields from your export.
