Viewing Request Details
The Request details page allows you to view and update all details pertaining to a request. Here, you can manage all the attributes of requests.
Accessing Request Details
To access the Request details page, click on a request title or ID anywhere within the application.
Managing Request Details
From the Request Details View you can perform the following high-level functions using the tabs at the top of the page:
If you want to... | Do this... |

View and update all request details | Click the Details tab. |
View the change history for a request | Click the History tab. |
View a graphic representation of the request's relationships to other related assets | Click the Visualize tab and click View Options to select which relational backlog items appear (Defects, Portfolio Items, Ideas, Issues, Backlog Items) |
View ideas submitted by the team for possible integration into project work | Click the Ideas tab. See Ideas. |
Edit request details | Click the Edit tab to open the Request Edit window. You can also open this drop-down menu to perform other more granular functions (Generate Backlog Item, Generate Portfolio Item, Generate Defect, Generate Issue, Copy, Close Request, Delete, and Watch Request). |
Viewing or Managing Request Relationships
From the Show Relationships section at the bottom of the Request Details page, you can select generated portfolio items, stories, defects, and issues to assign to a request, and add, update, or remove links and attachments from the request. For any items you add or assign, you can click Remove in the grid to remove them from the selected request.

Assign a generated portfolio items to the request to plan specific work to be done within the sprint. | Go to Portfolio Items Generated and click Assign. |
Assign a generated story to the request to plan specific work to be done within the sprint. | Go to Stories Generated and click Assign. |
Assign a generated defect to plan and track specific bug fixing work that was identified as a result of this request. | Go to Defects Generated and click Assign. |
Assign a generated issue to the request to alert the team to a concern that must be resolved. | Go to Issues Generated and click Assign. |
Add a new link to remote documentation | Go to Links and click Add. |
Add a new file attachment | Go to Attachments and click Add. |
