Creating or Generating a New Request from a Template

This article explains how to create or generate a new request from a template.

Overview​

There are two ways to generate a new Request from a reusable request template.

When you create a request from a template, the item inherits all the details from the template, including title and associated tasks and/or tests.

Option 1: From the Sidebar​

  1. Click on the + icon in the sidebar.

  2. Select the type of asset you want to add.
    Add New Bar

  3. Enter the asset details and click Save.

Option 2: From the Templates Grid​

  1. Click the hamburger menu Hamburger icon > Product > Templates.
  2. In the Request Templates section, click the Generate Request button next to a template.
  3. In the request template page, enter all necessary information.
  4. Edit the new request as necessary. The new request will display in the Requests page.
