Version: Release SaaS

Release SaaS - Overview

Experience Digital.ai Release in a fully-managed cloud environment - no installation, setup, or infrastructure required. Release SaaS provides you with a dedicated instance of Digital.ai Release hosted and managed by Digital.ai, offering enterprise-grade release orchestration capabilities with enhanced resource limits compared to the trial version.

Key Difference from Trial

Unlike the Trial, the GA provides each customer with a dedicated instance with access to all major Release features including dashboards, workflows, and integrations. Resource limits are approximately 10x higher than the trial version.

What is Release SaaS?

Release SaaS is a cloud-hosted version of Digital.ai Release where:

  • Digital.ai manages the entire platform - Including infrastructure, security, updates, and maintenance.
  • Each customer receives a dedicated instance - Ensuring isolation and full feature access.
  • All core release features are available - Including releases, templates, dashboards and workflows.
  • Platform-managed authentication - User groups and OIDC authentication are managed through the Digital.ai Platform. See Platform-managed Authentication.

Getting Started

Access to Release SaaS is managed through our sales team:

  1. Explore the Trial - Start by trying the Release SaaS Trial to understand core capabilities.
  2. Contact Sales - If interested in GA access, reach out to the Digital.ai Sales Team.
  3. Receive Access - You will receive the access via email once your SaaS instance is provisioned and ready to use.
  4. Start Building - Begin creating release pipelines, templates, and workflows immediately.
note

All access is coordinated through the sales team to ensure compliance and support.

For more information, see Release SaaS - Limitations and Restrictions.

Platform Management

In Release SaaS, user authentication and authorization are managed through the Digital.ai Platform:

  • User Management - Create and manage users via Platform. See Manage Users.

  • Identity Providers - Configure OIDC and other authentication providers through Platform. See Manage Identity Providers.

  • Preconfigured User Groups - Digital.ai provides three preconfigured groups that map to Release roles:

    User GroupDescription
    Release AdminProvides full administrative access
Users can manage security settings and perform all configuration and operational tasks, including creating and editing templates, releases, dashboards, variables, environments, applications, and runners.
    Release EditorProvides broad operational access
Users can create and manage releases, templates, dashboards, variables, folders, environments, applications, and related configurations. However, they cannot manage security settings or administrative controls.
    Release Read OnlyProvides view-only access
Users can log in and view releases, reports, analytics, audit data, and runners, but cannot create, modify, or manage any resources.

For more information, see User Group Permissions.

  • Group Assignment - Assign users to these preconfigured groups in Platform, and the permissions automatically sync to Release.

This centralized management approach ensures consistent security and authentication.

note

Users and groups are managed in the Digital.ai Platform, and role assignments automatically synchronize to Release. For more information, consult with your Digital.ai representative or contact support.
