Accessing a Story or Defect in Rooms 2

This article explains how to access a story or defect in Rooms 2.

Overview​

In Rooms 2 you can access stories or defects associated with a team without leaving the Rooms 2 page. You can modify the attributes associated with the story or defect inline. An additional option to provide comments for a story or defect is also available in Rooms 2.

Viewing or Editing a Story or Defect​

  1. Click the hamburger menu Hamburger icon > Rooms > All Team Rooms.
  2. Click a Team Room name and click Go To Rooms 2.
  3. In the Rooms 2 page, click the story or defect you want to view/edit.
  4. Click Details tab to view all the details associated with the story or defect.
  5. Click Comments to view all the comments associated with the story or defect.
  6. Click Show More or Show Less button to view or hide additional details about the Story or Defect.
  7. Make inline edits if you want to edit some fields, the changes to the fields are saved automatically.

The Save and Cancel button are enabled only if you make edits to the description field, edits to other fields are considered inline edits and the changes are saved automatically.

Adding a Task, Test, or Link to a Story or Defect​

Rooms 2 allows you to add a Task, Test, or Link to an existing story or defect.

  1. Click the hamburger menu Hamburger icon > Rooms > All Team Rooms.
  2. Click a Team Room name and click Go To Rooms 2.
  3. In the Rooms 2 page, click the story or defect you want to edit.
  4. To add a Task, click + Add Task button.
  5. Enter the required fields and click Add.
  6. To add a Test, click + Add Test button.
  7. Enter values for the required fields and click Add.
  8. To add a link, click + Add Link button.
  9. Enter values for the required fields and click Add.

To delete a Task, Test, and Link associated with a story or defect, click Delete icon next to the element and click tick mark for confirmation.
