Setting Up Slack Push Notifications

This artice explains how to setup Slack Push notifications in Agility.

Overview​

With the Slack integration, you can send push notifications for all your Digital.ai Agility subscriptions directly to Slack. For those who don't leave their email open all the time, this eliminates the need to enable email notifications in your Digital.ai Agility account.

In order to use the Slack push notifications, you must have active subscriptions. If you do not, the Slack push notifications will not trigger. Note also that you cannot trigger notifications for your own subscriptions.

Configuring the Slack integration is a two-step process, as described below.

Step 1. Configure an Incoming Webhook in Slack​

  1. Open Slack, click on your name, and select Apps & Integrations.
  2. Click Manage on the browser page that opens.
  3. Click Custom Integrations, and then click Incoming Webhooks.
  4. Click Add Configuration.
  5. Choose a channel or direct message (such as yourself) to Post to, and then click Add Incoming Webhooks Configuration.
  6. Copy the provided Slack Webhook URL, and then add a helpful name using Customize Name.
  7. Click Save Settings.

Step 2. Configure Push Notifications in Digital.ai Agility​

  1. Click on your avatar on the header and select My Details.
  2. Select Push Notifications.
  3. Click on the Slack icon.
  4. Enter a name for the push notification.
  5. Paste in the Webhook URL Provided by Slack.
  6. Click Add.
