Configure a Chart
By default, each chart on My Dashboard displays data based on the project selected in the project navigator. You can configure charts to show data from specific planning levels, iterations, teams, backlog groups, and custom date ranges.
All team members configure their dashboard charts to display specific planning level, iteration, or team data. Each chart is independently configured.
Configure a Chart
To configure a chart on My Dashboard:
- Click the hamburger menu
> Rooms > My Room > My Dashboard.
- Click the Configure button in the top-right corner of the chart you want to modify.
- In the configuration dialog box, adjust your chart settings:
- Chart Title — Edit the title displayed on the chart
- Planning Level — Select the planning level (project or release)
- Iteration — Choose a specific iteration or All
- Team — Filter by team or select All
- Backlog Group — Filter by theme or select All
- Start Date — Set the start date for the chart data
- Duration — Specify the time period (in days, weeks, or months)
- Click Go to apply your changes.
The chart updates to display data based on your configured settings.
Independent Chart Configuration
Each chart is configured independently, allowing you to create multiple views of the same chart type with different settings. For example, you can add separate Iteration Burndown charts for each team working on a project.
Troubleshooting
Chart doesn't display data after configuring
Ensure the selected planning level, iteration, or team has data that matches your filter criteria. If you're filtering by a specific iteration and no work items exist in that iteration, the chart will appear empty.
Configuration changes don't save
Click Go after making changes in the configuration dialog. If the issue persists, refresh the page and try again. Some chart types require specific project settings to be enabled.
Can't see certain planning levels or teams in the dropdown
You can only configure charts to display data from planning levels and teams you have permission to view. Contact your administrator if you need access to additional projects or teams.
Chart shows unexpected data after configuration
Verify your filter settings in the configuration dialog. If you've applied multiple filters (planning level, iteration, team, and backlog group), the chart displays only items that match all criteria. Remove unnecessary filters to see more data.
