Advanced Settings

In this topic, you will learn how to configure the advanced settings.

Note: The System Settings screen is reorganized to make the navigation more user-friendly. The settings are now grouped by theme, to easily locate and access the features.

Navigate to the upper-right corner of the screen, click cog icon > System Settings > Advanced.

Note: The Advanced settings page is available only for Administrators, who have the Admin global permission.

Configure Reference Variable Connection

By default, Reference variable supports Http server connections as a reference in multiple tasks of the same release. However, now you can add more connection types using the Reference variables section. In the Connection type drop-down list, select the connection type that you want to use with the reference variable.

This variable type is available at the release, folder and global levels and are compatible with version control, making it easier to track changes and apply updates across templates.

When you create a reference type variable, in the Create variable dialog, you can select this custom connection from the Reference type drop-down list. This variable can be used when you run a release.

Enable Advanced Cache Settings

As a Release administrator, manage cache settings to optimize system performance. You can enable or disable Cache settings to control how data is cached. Here's a list of options to manage cache.

  • Enable Releases caching: Stores release data in memory to speed up loading and reduce access time for frequently used release information.

  • Enable Security caching: Temporarily caches security-related data, such as roles and permissions, to improve access and enhance performance during security checks.

  • Enable Configuration caching: Caches configuration data, including system settings and connections, to boost performance by reducing the need to retrieve these details from the database repeatedly.
