Automotive Projection Testing - Android Auto

You can now validate in-car infotainment system behavior in Android Auto using the Test Execution with Android Auto capability.

Support for iPhone 16e

Digital.ai Continuous Testing Cloud supports the latest iPhone 16e. Now you can test your iOS apps in iPhone 16e Manual or Automation (Grid) sessions. Expand your test coverage by adding this to your cloud and start testing on them.

Bug Fixes and Improvements

  • Android Support 

    • We have fixed an issue with Camera2 that caused instrumented applications to crash for Android 15+.

    • SetNetworkConnection- For the "Bluetooth" value is fixed for Android 12 and above for Appium-executed tests.

    • We have fixed an issue for Xiaomi and Oppo brands where some devices couldn't launch into a new session after reboot.

  • SeeTest Automation

    • The issue of importing Android applications from local machines has been fixed.

    • An issue with the Application launch failing intermittently on a remote iOS device has been resolved.

  • Appium Server

    • Appium Server local file Driver.pushFile is now supported for Android devices.

    • We fixed an issue that caused Appium Server to terminate sessions.

  • Reporter

    • Resolved a bug where a test report for Selenium based tests were showing up as failed or incomplete even though the test passed..

    • Visual Improvements made with icons when you click on the "three-dot" on a generated report.

  • Grid Client

    • We fixed an issue with Grid Client causing an invalid identification method error.
  • Reporter

    • Resolved an issue with custom javaScript code not getting executed.

    • We fixed an issue with test steps UI alignment.

  • Mobile Studio

    • Improve data presentation in Test Manager Suites for clarity and readability.

    • Bug fix in Capture Network dialog.

    • Improved Shared Device connection notifications.

Notes and Known Issues

  • As of 25.3, mobile automation tests will return a digitalai: prefix for Continuous Testing capabilities, in order to maintain W3C compliance. 

  • Long videos in Automotive Projection may not appear in video reports.

Important Notes and Known Issues

  • Starting with version 25.5, tentatively around May 2025, we will disable a few of our properties, under SetProperty.

    • os.allow.orientation.correction used to allow iOS non-instrumented dump orientation to be corrected. Now the correction is made by our cloud natively - please make sure you correct your tests if needed.

    • ios.11.use.old.monitoring.service used only for iOS 11, which is not supported anymore, to choose the service used for monitoring CPU / Memory.

  • Starting From this version, Windows and CentOS are no longer supported for cloud components (learn more here). No builds for these platforms are available. Plan your migration to supported OS platforms.

Starting with version 25.4 (Tentative release date, end of April 2025), the following operating system will be out of digital.ai support:

  • Android 5.1, 6

  • iOS 12, 13, 14

25.2 Maintenance Update 1

Release Date: march 30th, 2025

Fixes:

  • iOS - An issue with the Cambrionix API version 3.24.0 not working for iOS 12 & 13 has been resolved.
  • iOS - An issue with not being able to launch iOS Devices in a manual session has been resolved.
