Configure Fields in a Release
Field configuration allows you to customize which fields appear at the top of the Story or Defect details page in Release Planning. This helps teams prioritize visibility of critical information such as Status, Sprint, and Estimates.
Who Configures Fields in a Release
Team Members customize field visibility for their own view to surface the information most relevant to their role, such as estimates for developers or status for QA.
Scrum Masters configure fields to highlight sprint assignments, team ownership, and status for efficient sprint planning and daily standups.
Product Owners adjust field visibility to emphasize priority, business value, and release assignments for quick decision-making during backlog refinement.
Administrators may recommend standard field configurations to teams, ensuring consistent information visibility across projects while allowing individual customization.
Permission requirement: All team members can configure field visibility for their own view. Field configurations are stored locally in the browser and don't affect other users' views.

Troubleshooting
Why don't my field configurations appear on another device?
Field configurations are stored in your browser's local storage and are device-specific. Configure fields separately on each device or browser you use. The settings don't sync across browsers or devices.
Why did my field configuration disappear?
Field configurations are stored in browser local storage and will be cleared if you delete browser cookies or clear browsing data. You'll need to reconfigure your field preferences after clearing browser data.
Do my field configurations affect other team members?
No. Field configurations are user-specific and stored locally in your browser. Your customized field visibility only affects your own view. Other team members see their own configurations or the default field layout.
