On Boarding Plan and Progress Dashboard

The On Boarding Plan and Progress Dashboard provide a snapshot view of the on-boarding progress of the internal customers as they roll out the Digital.ai Release and Deploy to their new teams or applications. This dashboard provides the trend and an overview of the monthly growth status in terms of the users, release folders, folders with successful releases, release teams involved along with integrations.

The Platform Engineering or DevOps COE teams are responsible for facilitating and optimizing the release process for a portfolio of teams and applications. Using this dashboard, the Platform Engineering or DevOps COE teams can monitor the deployment of Release & Deploy to additional teams and applications by their internal customers.

The DevOps or Platform Engineering teams can use this dashboard to:

  • Examine the progress trend of customer on-boarding over the last 12 months or 13 weeks of data.
  • Identify the issues or delays related to the customer on-boarding process and provide support to resolve them.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of internal customer on-boarding processes.
  • Set the Monthly growth target and compare the actual and average growth values.

The On Boarding Plan and Progress dashboard is built using the Release, Release Task, Release Team, Release Team Member, Release User, Release Folder, Release Application, and Release Task Type Deployment iCubes and fetches data based on the filter specified for these iCubes.

The On Boarding Plan and Progress dashboard consists of the following panels:

  • On Boarding Maturity
  • Application Deployment Maturity

On Boarding Maturity

The On Boarding Maturity panel gives a summary of the last 12 months or 13 weeks data of on boarding information including the trends with respect to the KPIs such as Users, Release Folders, Release Teams, Integrations, and Folders with Completed Releases. This panel provides you with a snapshot of the relevant weekly or monthly data so you can understand the trend in on boarding and the growth attained. You can view and compare the data on user on boarding trends, the growth rate of active users, and user details using this On Boarding Maturity panel. Additionally, you can use the corresponding sections to drill down to the associated release or task level details.

The On Boarding Maturity panel consists of the following sections:

  • KPIs: By default, the KPIs listed on this dashboard show the value for the current month. The following KPIs are driving the sections in the monthly and weekly panels:
    • Users: The total number of users on-boarded in the current month.
    • Folders: The number of new folders created in the current month
    • Folders with Completed Releases: The number of release folders with successful releases for the month.
    • Release Teams: Number of newly added release teams for the current month.
    • Integrations Used: The total number of integrations used in the current month's release.
  • Monthly Panel: The information on this Monthly panel covers the last 12 months data. Using this panel, you can drill down into the Monthly KPIs and the associated release details.
  • Weekly Panel: The Weekly panel provides the data for last 13 weeks. Using this panel, you can drill down into the Weekly values and the associated release details.

Users

The dashboard displays the section related to the User KPI by default. Following are the sections related to this User KPI:

Users Onboarding Trend

The Users Onboarding Trend section in the Monthly or Weekly panel provides the trend of new users compared to total users. The X-axis represents the calendar month or week, and Y-axis represents the number of new and cumulative users accordingly. You can drill down to a specific month's or week's data by selecting the required month or week from the graph.

Active Users

The Active Users section in the Monthly or Weekly panel provides the trend of the number of active users and the percentage of active users' growth. The graph's Y-axis displays the number of active users and their growth percentages, while the X-axis shows the calendar months or weeks.

New Users of Selected Month or Week

In the Monthly and Weekly panel, the No of Users Added section displays the details of the newly added user for a specific month or week, along with the number of Release Teams, Releases, and Tasks they are associated with. You can select the individual users to view associated release details. The data in this section is driven by the 'Onboarding Trend' section.

Release Details of Selected Users

The data in this section is driven by the 'New Users of Selected Month' section. This section 'Release Details of Selected Users' in the Monthly or Weekly panel, provides the release-related details associated with a user such as the Release Name, Release Owner, Release Folder, Release Status, and the Number of Release Tasks associated with the user.

You can also click the Link to the Source System icon against the release to launch the source system and view more details about the release.

Folders

You can view the detailed information in the Monthly or Weekly Panels by clicking the Folders from KPIs and selecting the Go To "Release - Folders" option. Click the Monthly or Weekly panel to load the corresponding data in the panel.

Folders Onboarding Trend

The Folders Onboarding Trend section in the Monthly or Weekly panel provides the trend of new folders compared to cumulative folders. The X-axis represents the calendar month or week, and Y-axis represents the number of new and cumulative folders accordingly. You can drill down to a specific month's or week's data by selecting the required month or week from the graph.

Active Folders

The Active Folders section in the Monthly or Weekly panel provides the trend of the number of active folders and the percentage of active folders' growth. The graph's Y-axis displays the number of active folders and their growth percentages, while the X-axis shows the calendar months or weeks.

New Folders of Selected Month or Week

In the Monthly or Weekly panel, the New Folders of Selected Month or Week section displays the details of the newly added folder for a specific month or week, along with the Number of Teams, % of Successful Releases, Number of Running Releases and Number of Releases associated with the newly created folders. You can select the individual folders to view associated release details. The data in this section is driven by the 'Onboarding Trend' section.

Release Details of Selected Folders

The data in this section is driven by the 'New Folders of Selected Month or Week' section. This section 'Release Details of Selected Folders' in the Monthly and Weekly panel, provides the release-related details associated with a folder such as the Release Name, Release Owner, Release Folder, Release Status, No of Release Tasks, and the Release Risk Score associated with the folder.

Folders with Completed Releases

You can view the detailed information in the Monthly and Weekly Panels by clicking the Folders with Completed Releases from KPIs and selecting the Go To "Release - Folders with Completed Releases" option. Click the Monthly or Weekly panel to load the corresponding data in the panel.

Folders Onboarding Trend

The Folders Onboarding Trend section in the Monthly or Weekly panel provides the trend of new folders with completed releases compared to cumulative folders with completed releases. The X-axis represents the calendar month or week, and Y-axis represents the number of new and cumulative folders with completed releases accordingly. You can drill down to a specific month's or week's data by selecting the required month or week from the graph.

Active Folders with Completed Releases

The Active Folders with Completed Releases section in the Monthly or Weekly panel provides the trend of the number of active folders with completed releases and the percentage of active folders' growth. The graph's Y-axis displays the number of active folders with completed releases and their growth percentages, while the X-axis shows the calendar months or weeks.

New Folders with Completed Releases of Selected Month or Week

The New Folders with Completed Release of Selected Month or Week section displays the details of the newly added folder with completed release for a specific month or week, along with the Number of Release Teams, Release Owner, Release Volume, % of Successful Releases, Number of Running Releases and Number of Completed Releases associated with the newly created folders in the Monthly or Weekly panel accordingly. Release Details of Selected Folders

The data in this section is driven by the 'New Folders with Completed Release of Selected Month or Week' section. The 'Release Details of Selected Folders' section in the Monthly and Weekly panel, provides the release related details such as the Release Name, Release Owner, Release Actual End Date, and the No of Release Tasks associated with the selected folder.

Release Teams

You can view the detailed information in the Monthly and Weekly Panels by clicking the Releases Teams from KPIs and selecting the Go To "Release - Teams" option. Click the Monthly or Weekly panel to load the corresponding data in the panel.

Teams Onboarding Trend

The Teams Onboarding Trend section in the Monthly or Weekly panel provides the trend of new teams compared to cumulative teams. The Release Details of Selected Teams section in the Monthly and Weekly panel provides the release- related details such as the Release Name, Release Owner, Status, and the Risk Score associated with the selected release team.

Integrations Used

You can view the detailed information in the Monthly or Weekly Panels by clicking the Integrations Used from KPIs and selecting the Go To "Release - Integrations" option. Click the Monthly or Weekly panel to load the corresponding data in the panel.

Integrations Onboarding Trend

The Integrations Onboarding Trend section in the Monthly or Weekly panel provides the trend of new integrations compared to cumulative integrations. The X-axis represents the calendar month or week, and Y-axis represents the number of new and cumulative integrations accordingly. You can drill down to a specific month's or week's data by selecting the required month or week from the graph.

Active Integrations Used

The Active Integrations Used section in the Monthly or Weekly panel provides the trend of the number of active integrations and the percentage of used active integrations' growth. The graph's Y-axis displays the number of active integrations used and their growth percentages, while the X-axis shows the calendar months or weeks.

New Integrations of Selected Month or Week

The New Integrations of Selected Month or Week section displays the details of the newly added integrations for a specific month or week, along with Task Plug in Source, No of Releases, % of Successful Release Tasks, and Number of Releases associated with the newly added integrations in the Monthly or Weekly panel accordingly. You can select the individual integrations to view associated release details. The data in this section is driven by the 'Integrations Onboarding Trend' section.

Task Details of Selected Source

The data in this section is driven by the 'New Integrations of Selected Month or Week' section. The Task Details of Selected Source section in the Monthly and Weekly panel, provides the release task related details such as the Task Name, Release Name, Actual End Date, and the Actual Start Date associated with the selected integration.

Application Deployment Maturity

The Application Deployment Maturity panel provides an overview of the onboarded Application details for the last 12 months and the trend with respect to KPIs such as Applications Used, Applications More Than 1 Deployment, Applications More Than 2 Environments, Applications with PROD deployments, and the Applications Where Deployment Failure Rate More Than Ideal. This panel helps you with a picture of respective monthly or weekly information to understand the Applications onboarding trend and growth achieved. Additionally, you can use the corresponding sections to drill down to the associated environments or deployment details.

The Application Deployment Maturity panel consists of following sections:

  • KPIs: By default, the KPIs listed on this dashboard show the value for the current month. The following KPIs are driving the sections in the monthly and weekly panels:
    • Applications Used: The total number of Applications on-boarded in the current month.
    • Applications More Than 1 Deployment: The number of Applications associated with multiple deployments irrespective of any type of environment.
    • Applications More Than 2 Environments: The number of applications with deployments associated to more than two different environment types.
    • Applications with PROD deployments: The number of applications where the deployments are associated with the production environment.
    • Applications Where Deployment Failure Rate More Than Ideal: The count of applications where the deployment failure rate is greater than a defined acceptable target failure rate.
  • Monthly Panel: The information on this Monthly panel covers the last 03 months data. Using this panel, you can drill down into the Monthly KPIs and the associated release details.
  • Weekly Panel: The Weekly panel provides the data of last 08 weeks. Using this panel, you can drill down into the Weekly values and the associated release details.
