Updated QuickStart Repositories

The Digital.ai Testing Quick Start repositories have been updated with the latest Appium client version and updated syntax, making it easier to jumpstart your automation projects.

Bug Fixes and Improvements

  • Android Support 

    • Resolved an issue that caused cleanup failures on Android devices.
    • Fixed an issue that caused Instrumented Applications with camera or fingerprint libraries to crash upon launch.
  • iOS Support 

    • Resolved an issue that caused cleanup failures on iOS devices.
    • Fixed an issue where some instrumented applications on the iOS 26 beta misread dump values.
  • Appium Server 

    • Appium Server 2.19.0 is now available.
    • Updated Deque Axe drivers to version 1.4.
    • Fixed a bug affecting performance transactions.
  • Cloud 

    • Fixed a bug that caused DHMs to go offline.
  • Selenium Agent 

    • Fixed an issue with ieMode in Edge browser.
    • Fixed an issue preventing consecutive Chrome manual sessions from opening.
  • Reporter 

    • Tests can now be deleted in bulk using the UI.
    • Fixed a bug that caused an internal server error in the Reporter service.

Notes and Known Issues

  • As of 25.5, Samsung devices running on Android 14+ with a PIN code must be updated with the respective PIN code on the device information. See our documentation for configuration details.

  • As of 25.4, mobile automation tests will return a digitalai: prefix for Continuous Testing capabilities, to maintain W3C compliance.

  • Long videos in Automotive Projection may not appear in the video reports.

  • Starting with version 25.7 (tentatively around August 2025), we will disable a few of our properties, under SetProperty.

    • os.allow.orientation.correction used to allow iOS non-instrumented dump orientation to be corrected. Now the correction is made by our cloud natively - please make sure you correct your tests if needed.

    • ios.11.use.old.monitoring.service used only for iOS 11, which is not supported anymore, to choose the service used for monitoring CPU / Memory.

Important Notes and Known Issues

  • Resolved an issue on the application signer where instrumentation files were not deleted once the application was signed.

  • Fixed a bug that caused multiple provisioning profiles to be created when new devices were connected.

  • Fixed an issue that prevented offline license activation from displaying after a cloud upgrade.

  • Resolved a file storage issue that blocked the installation of instrumented applications.

  • The character limits on cloud banners have been updated to 255.

  • To improve the stability of mobile devices connectivity, we recommend enabling PortAlwaysOn in the USB Hub UI, as described here: System Requirements.
