AS - Connect An Android Device Using a Google USB Driver

Perform this procedure if you are not able to add your Android device and you have an exclamation mark in Windows Device Manager.

  1. Right-click your Android device, then click Uninstall.

  2. Download the USB driver from the Android Developer website.

  3. Extract the zip file to a local folder.

  4. Right-click your Android device, then click Update Driver Software.

  5. Click Browse my computer For driver software.

  6. Click Let me pick from a list of device driver on my computer.

  7. Click Show All Devices.

  8. Click Have disk, then navigate to the USB driver folder.

  9. Click the .inf file, then click OK.

  10. Click Android ADB Interface, then click Yes.

  11. Try to add your Android device again.
