Format Panel for KPI Visualizations
You can select formatting options for a KPI visualization, such as whether to display badges in percentages or values, modify badge colors for positive and negative values, add color ranges for the primary KPI value, etc.
If you are formatting the visualization in Formatting Mode, you can also click an area of the box plot visualization to format it. The appropriate formatting options appear in the Format panel.
Access
- Open an existing dossier that contains the KPI visualization you want to format.
- In the left toolbar, click Format.
Fields
- Select the area of the visualization you want to format from the first drop-down.
Title and Container
The following options are available to format the title, background, and borders in a visualization:
Title
Show titlebar: Select the checkbox to display the visualization's title.
Font: Select font formatting options.
Container
Fill Color: Select the background color of the visualization from the palette.
Outer Border: Select the style and color of the visualization's borders from the drop-down lists.
General Settings
The following options are available to format KPI visualizations.
Show metric name: Display the name of the metric in the visualization.
Display Mode: Select whether to display the visualization as Stacked, Auto, Horizontal, or Vertical. Use Stacked to produce a slideshow of multiple KPI cards. Select Auto to allow Digital.ai Intelligence Applications to automatically size the KPI cards, making the most efficient use of the allotted space. Select Horizontal or Vertical to display all KPI cards horizontally or vertically.
You can display multiple KPI cards by placing an attribute in the Break By area of the Editor panel.
Autoplay: This checkbox appears if you selected Stacked in Display Mode. Select this option to automatically play the KPI card slideshow. If this option is unselected, you must click on a dot to display the corresponding KPI card.
Style: Select the style theme of Light, Night, Desert, or Ocean for displaying the KPI cards.
Font: Select the font type.
Unify Text Size: Select this checkbox to adjust the text size, so you can view all of the information on the screen.
Previous Value Label: Enter the text to use for the previous value label. The default text is Previous, followed by the attribute name located in the Trend area of the Editor panel.
Trend Indicator: Select None to remove the badge from the visualization. Choose Percentage or Value to display the badge with the trend appearing as a percentage or value.
Increase: Select the badge color for displaying increases in values.
Decrease: Select the badge color for displaying decreases in values.
Thresholds
Add: Click to add a color range to the primary KPI value. You can add multiple color ranges for different ranges.
Color Range X: Select this checkbox to specify values for the color range.
From: Enter the starting value for the color range.
To: Enter the ending value for the color range.
Color: Select the color in which to display the primary KPI value when it falls within the starting and ending color range.
