Using formatting mode for visualizations
You can edit a visualization in Formatting Mode to quickly select formatting options for a specific part of the visualization, such as the titles, row axes, or legend. When you select a visualization object in formatting mode, the appropriate format options appear in the Format panel. When you view a visualization in formatting mode, other visualizations in the dossier are grayed out and unavailable, allowing you to concentrate on one visualization at a time.
To format a visualization in formatting mode
- Click on the visualization you want to format. If necessary, you can select a specific object in the visualization for formatting.
- Right-click and choose Format.
If you selected a specific object in the visualization, a pop-up menu displays the appropriate formatting options for that object. In addition, the Format panel automatically updates the first drop-down list with the area of the visualization you are formatting and the corresponding format options appear. - Select the appropriate options to format the visualization.
- You can select different options from the first drop-down list, on the Format panel, to format the corresponding areas of the visualization.
