How to Access the Advanced Filter Editor and New Qualification Dialogs

Use the Advanced Filter Editor and New Qualification dialogs to set up advanced filtering.

To Access the Advanced Filter Editor and New Qualification Dialogs

  1. Open a dossier. If you want to set up advanced filtering for a visualization, go to step 2. If you want to set up advanced filtering for a metric, go to step 3.
  2. Click More in the upper right corner of a visualization and choose Edit Filter.
  3. To create a derived metric with advanced filtering, right-click a metric in the Datasets panel and choose Create Metric.
    Note: A derived metric with advanced filtering is also know as a conditional metric.
  4. In Functions pane, select one of the following functions to add it to the derived metric definition in the right pane: Avg, Count, First, GeoMean, Last, Max, Median, Min, Mode, Product, Stdev, StdevP, Sum, Var, VarP, Level.
  5. Click Add Filter.
  6. Click Add New Qualification.
