Test Manager - Workspace
To use Test Manager - workspaces, connect Test Manager to the Cloud server. For more information see Test Manager - Connect Test Manager to Cloud Server.
Introduction
A Workspace is designed as a repository for storing related tests. For example, all tests that belong to the same app can be saved together in a workspace.
A Workspace has these characteristics:
-
OS specific - Workspace created for Android cannot be used to save iOS tests and vice versa.
-
A Workspace has a target app. The target app is attached for better management of tests. All tests belonging to same app should be in same Workspace.
-
You can have multiple Workspaces within the same project.
-
Workspaces generated in one project remain exclusive to it; thus, project B users cannot use workspaces from project A.
There is no validation in place when saving test to a workspace. If you try to save a test for app X into Workspace Y (with target app T) nothing stops it. We recommend savings test into their respective workspaces.
Manage Workspaces
Workspaces can be managed from the Test Manager.
To access the Test Manager, in Mobile Studio click the Test Manager icon (
).
Only Project and Cloud administrators have the option to delete a workspace.
