Mobile Studio - Adjusting the Screen Settings

When interacting with a mobile device in Mobile Studio (whether it's an iOS or Android device), adjusting the screen settings can significantly enhance your experience. These adjustments help improve responsiveness and create an experience that closely resembles using a physical mobile device.

Getting to the Screen Settings​

Within a Mobile Studio, Navigate to Tools and click Screen Settings:

You will be presented with two options: allow the auto frame rate option to adjust the settings for you or manually adjust them to suit your needs.

The parameters that can be adjusted include:

  • The Image Quality controls the clarity of the mobile device reflection, with a default value set to 20.
  • The Frame Rate determines the responsiveness of the mobile device reflection, with a default value of 2 fps (frames per second).
  • The Auto Frame Rate adjusts based on your bandwidth and is enabled by default.

Automatic adjustments of the Screen Settings​

This option is recommended as it removes guesswork and ensures an optimal user experience by automatically adjusting the frame rate according to your bandwidth:

Only the Frame Rate is adjusted, the Image Quality will remain at its default setting or at any value you’ve changed it to during the session.

Manual adjustments of the Screen Settings​

To manually adjust the Screen Settings, toggle off the Auto Frame Rate option and modify the parameters as needed:

Keep in mind that adjusting the parameters to require higher bandwidth may result in slower interactions if your bandwidth is not fast enough.
