Ping a satellite

This topic describes how to check the connection between Deploy and a satellite by pinging the satellite. This process tests the entire network and application stack and check your parameters.

To ping a satellite server:

1. In the left pane, expand Infrastructure
2. Select the satellite, click , and click Ping or right-click the satellite and click Ping.

You can also double-click the satellite to view the summary page and click Ping.

If the connection check succeeds, Deploy will return five ping values and the uptime of the satellite. The first ping value can be higher than the others if this is the first time Deploy is trying to connect to the satellite.
