End-of-Life and Deprecated Components in Digital.ai Deploy

At Digital.ai, we understand that managing product transitions is crucial for our customers' business continuity. Products may reach their end-of-life due to various factors including market evolution, technological advancements, or the introduction of more capable solutions. This policy outlines our approach to end-of-life (EOL) transitions and how we support our customers through these changes.

Policy Overview

Digital.ai is committed to providing clear communication and support throughout the EOL process:

  1. Advance Notification: We provide six months' advance notice through multiple channels:

    • Digital.ai blog
    • Product notifications
    • Support newsletter
  2. Support Timeline:

    • EOL announcements typically align with new product releases
    • Support continues for previously supported product versions according to our maintenance schedule
  3. Customer Requirements:

    • Active and fully paid support contract is required for EOL notifications
    • Contact your Account Manager for transition period support and associated fees

CentOS 8No support for CentOS 8.CentOS 8 was supported by Digital.ai Deploy 10.3 and 22.0.

CentOS 8 is not supported by Digital.ai Deploy 22.1 and later.
CentOS 7No support for CentOS 7 Docker images.

Deploy Docker images based on CentOS 7 are no longer available for Digital.ai Deploy 24.1.4 and later.

Images based on dai-ubuntu:22.04 (Ubuntu 22.04) is the default flavor of Docker image available from 24.1.4 and later. However, CentOS 7 Docker images are still available for Digital.ai Deploy 23.3.x, 24.1.2, and 24.1.3.

IBM JDK 11No support for IBM JDK 11.IBM JDK 11 was supported by Digital.ai Deploy 23.1 and earlier.

IBM JDK 11 is not supported by Digital.ai Deploy 23.3 and later.
IBM JDK 8No support for IBM JDK 8.IBM JDK 8 was supported in Digital.ai Deploy 10.0 and earlier.

Oracle JDK 11 (LTS) is not supported in Digital.ai Deploy 24.1 and later.

Oracle JDK 8 (LTS) is not supported by Digital.ai Deploy 10.1 and later.
Docker 'latest' Images The implicit 'latest' version tag is no longer supported for Deploy Docker images.

Effective October 31, 2024, the release version must be specified to use Digital.ai Deploy Docker images. For example,

docker pull xebialabs/xl-deploy:25.1

The following is no longer supported: docker pull xebialabs/xl-deploy

Docker ImagesDigital.ai Deploy Docker images no longer include the Terraform binary version 0.11.13. The unsupported Terraform binary version 0.11.13 has been removed from Digital.ai Deploy Docker image versions 24.1.14, 24.3.4, and 25.1.0.
