Export and Print Reports
Digital.ai Agility provides multiple options for exporting, printing, and viewing reports. This topic covers how to enlarge reports for better visibility and export report data to various formats for external use.
Enlarge a Report
To view a larger version of any report, click the Large View button in the top right corner of each graph. This expands the report to fill more screen space, making it easier to read charts and identify trends.
Export Report Data
Standard graph data can be exported to Microsoft Excel (.xls), Comma Separated Value (.csv), or Portable Network Graphics (.png) format. This gives you the ability to format, print, further analyze, or use the data in external reports or presentations.
Because most report data is dynamic and changes frequently, saved reports can quickly become outdated. As an alternative, you can create a member account for anyone (stakeholders, customers, or executives) who wants to see the report, and then provide them with a list of links to key reports so they can obtain real-time information rather than viewing static reports.
Steps to Export
- Configure and generate the report you want to use.
- Click on the menu just above the chart, and then select Save as PNG, Download CSV, or Download XLS. The exported file will contain all displayed columns, even if the data spans several pages.
- If the data you want to export doesn't display in the current grid, you can customize it to show the columns you'd like to export.
Export Formats
PNG (Portable Network Graphics)
- Best for: Including charts in presentations or documents
- Captures: Visual representation of the chart exactly as displayed
- Use case: Stakeholder presentations, status reports, documentation
CSV (Comma Separated Value)
- Best for: Data analysis and manipulation in spreadsheet applications
- Captures: Raw data underlying the chart
- Use case: Custom analysis, data archiving, import to other systems
XLS (Microsoft Excel)
- Best for: Formatted spreadsheet reports with data
- Captures: Data in Excel-compatible format
- Use case: Financial analysis, detailed data review, further calculations
Print and Export to PDF
Select Print or PDF buttons to create hard copies or electronic copies of graphs. These options are available in a menu control directly on pages that display graphs.

Steps to Print or Create PDF
- Configure and generate the report you want to use.
- Click the Print or PDF button to generate your desired output.
When to Use Each Format
- Best for: Immediate physical copies for meetings or reviews
- Use case: Sprint retrospectives, planning sessions, status meetings
- Best for: Electronic distribution and archiving
- Use case: Email distribution, document attachments, formal records
- Benefits: Preserves formatting, widely compatible, smaller file size than images
Best Practices
- Consider real-time access: Before exporting static reports, evaluate if providing direct system access to stakeholders would better serve their needs.
- Update regularly: If you must use exported reports, establish a regular update schedule to keep data current.
- Label clearly: Always include the report generation date on exports to avoid confusion.
- Choose the right format: Select the export format based on your intended use (presentation, analysis, or distribution).
- Customize before exporting: Ensure all necessary columns and data are visible before exporting, as the export captures the current view.
