Add an Affiliated Organization
From the Settings page, you can add an organization to the Digital.ai App Management database that is affiliated with your organization (the "parent" organization). Once the affiliated organization is created, it can be managed both by its own Digital.ai App Management administrators and administrators of the parent organization. When you add an affiliated organization, Digital.ai App Management creates an administrator for the organization (using information that you provide) and sends an invitation email to that administrator. Optionally, you can customize the content of the invitation. For instructions, see Edit the Affiliated Organization Administrator's Invitation Message.
Some features are enabled/disabled for an organization by Digital.ai App Management. By default, an affiliated organization inherits all the functionality of its parent organization except for the ability to create its own affiliated organizations. If you do not want an affiliated organization to inherit all the features enabled for your organization, contact Customer Support.
Before You Begin
Have the following information ready:
- Name for the new organization. This name must be unique in the Digit
- al.ai App Management database.
- First and last name of a person who will act as an administrator for the organization. When Di
- gital.ai App Management creates the new organization, it will create a user account with the "Administrator" role for this person.
- Email address for the administrator. This address must be unique across all organizations in the Dig
- ital.ai App Management database. Di
- gital.ai App Management will use the email address that you specify for both the user's User ID and Email Address.
To add an affiliated organization
- On the Admin Portal navigation bar, click Settings.
- Click Affiliated Organizations. If this option is not listed, your organization is not enabled for the Affiliated Organizations feature; contact Customer Support.
- In the Organization Name field, enter a name for the affiliated organization. It must be a unique name in the Digital.ai App Management database.
- In the Administrator's First and Last Name fields, enter the first and last name of the administrator user that Digital.ai App Management will create for the organization.
- In the Administrator's Email field, enter the email address for the administrator. It must be a unique address in the Digital.ai App Management database. That is, you cannot specify an email address that is already associated with user in your organization or any other organization.
- Click Create New Organization to create the organization and administrator. At this point, Digital.ai App Management sends an invitation email to the administrator, providing instructions for activating the account. The new organization appears in the list of affiliated organizations, along with the date and time it was created.
