Scheduling a dossier to be sent to the history list

A History List is a folder where you can store dossiers, documents, and reports. You can send a dossier to the History List on a specific schedule. To do so, you must subscribe to the dossier, as described in the steps below.

Note: You must have the 'Web Edit' and 'Web Run' privileges.

To send a dossier to the History List on a schedule

  1. Click the name of the dossier to run it.
  2. From the File menu, select Schedule Delivery to History List. Or, from the dossier toolbar, click the Schedule delivery to History List icon.
  3. Type a name for the subscription in the Name field.
  4. From the Schedule drop-down list, select a schedule or event to use to send the dossier to the History List.
  5. To send the dossier to the History List immediately after creating the subscription, select the Run subscription immediately check box.
  6. Expand the Advanced Options.
  7. To ensure that newer versions of the dossier overwrite previous versions of the dossier in the History List, select the The new scheduled report will overwrite versions of itself check box.
  8. You can select a date after which you want to stop delivering the dossier to the History List. To do this, select the Do not deliver after checkbox, then click the calendar and select the date on which you want the subscription to expire.
  9. To have a delivery notification email sent to you when the dossier is sent, select the Send notification to email address checkbox.
  10. Click OK.

To verify that you are subscribed to the dossier, from the home page, click My Subscriptions.
