Importing data

You can import data directly into a new or existing dataset, for use in creating dossiers. A dataset contains the data you display on a dossier. In addition, you can select multiple tables to create a single, multi-table dataset. You to combine different types of data sources in a single dataset. This includes combining data from an Excel spreadsheet and relational database table into a single dataset.

Note:

• If a data source is not available, you may not have the correct privileges to view it. Contact your administrator for help.
• You can hide and display different data sources and databases, so that only the options that you use regularly appear.
