Deleting Workitems from Azure DevOps to Agility

Agility Sync introduces a a new feature that ensures seamless synchronization between Agility and Azure. When a work item is created in Agility and synced to Azure, the user can delete the work item from Azure, this deletion automatically syncs back to Agility, removing the corresponding work item from Agility as well. The deletion functionality works bidirectionally, so deleting a work item in Agility syncs and deletes the corresponding work item in Azure.

Prerequisites​

Ensure that a mapping exists between Agility and Microsoft Azure for the workitem. To know how to create mapping between Agility and Microsoft Azure, read Create a Mapping - Tutorial section.

Procedure to create an Epic from Azure to Agility​

  1. Log in to Azure.
  2. Navigate to your project, click + and select New Workitem > Epic
  3. Enter a name for the epic.
  4. Enter the required information for the mandatory fields and click Save.

It might take approximately 20 seconds for the workitem created in Azure to be synced with Agility.

  1. Log in to AgilitySync
  2. In AgilitySync navigate to Mappings > Edit Mapping > Logs and verify that the epic created in Azure is visible in Agility Sync.
  3. Click the Epic link in Agility Sync, you are redirected to the newly created Epic in Agility.

Procedure to delete an Epic from Azure to Agility​

  1. In Azure navigate to Project > Boards > Workitems.
  2. Select the epic you created a while back.
  3. In Workitem page, click **...**horizontal ellipsis and select Delete from the pop-up menu.
  4. Navigate back to Agility Sync Mappings > Edit Mapping > Logs
  5. After you view the Success message against the deleted Epic in Agility Sync.
  6. Click the Epic, you are redirected to Agility where the Epic is displayed as deleted.
