The New Credentials section on the Signing tab for iOS apps (in the Admin Portal) now shows an updated list of entitlements to reflect the latest capabilities added by Apple.
-
iOS 15.1 is now supported. To take advantage of this fix, simply re-sign your apps in the Admin Portal.
-
To ensure the most compatibility and avoid any issues, we recommend that our customers re-sign all existing apps as soon as possible. In doing so, please be aware of the following:
- If you have any apps built prior to macOS 10.14, we recommend that you rebuild them using Xcode running on macOS 10.14 or later before re-signing them and distributing them. If older apps are re-signed using the Admin Portal, it is possible that they will crash at launch on some iOS devices.
- If you are unable to rebuild your apps at this time, you can use the signing package on macOS 10.14 or later to re-sign them for distribution. Apps that have been previously signed using the signing package will run successfully on iOS 15.1 and don't need to be resigned at this time.
- If you've previously used the Admin Portal to sign a particular app, you will not be able to use the signing package to re-sign it. In such cases, we recommend that you first upload a fresh, unsigned copy of the app and then use the signing package. If you don't have access to the original app binary, contact Customer Support for help retrieving it.
