ALM Connect - Microsoft SQL Prerequisites and Setup

This article lists the Microsoft SQL Prerequisites and Setup for Agility Sync.

Overview​

This article ensures that the steps performed before and during ALM Connect installation are correct for Microsoft SQL.

Ensure the database user that is provided during install has the rights to log in to the SQL server with SQL Server Authentication.

Prerequisites​

  1. Click here to download the SQL connector exe file.

  2. Right click on the executable and RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR.

  3. Extract the files and navigate to sqljdbc_4.0.2206.100_enu\sqljdbc_4.0\enu.

  4. Copy the jar file named sqljdbc4.jar to root such as c:\SQL_Connector.

  5. Take note of the path as it will be required during setup.

ALM Connect Microsoft SQL Setup​

  1. On the MS SQL setup step during installation provide the following:
    • Database Hostame (ex. localhost)
    • Database Port Number
    • Database User Name
    • Database User Password
  2. Browse to the location of the sqljdbc4.jar file.
  3. Click NEXTto continue the installation.
