Enhancements
- Added new Asset Types ValueStream and Release for Release Planning in Agility.
- Added a banner to announce the deprecation of legacy Planning Level Workspace or Project Workspace.
New Asset Types ValueStream and Release for Release Planning
Agility has introduced key enhancements to improve the planning and management experience for users working with ValueStream and Release.
How to Enable Release Planning in Agility
The Release Planning feature will not be available in the Agility menu. Users have to request it to be enabled from the Agility Support team or the Agility administrator. This feature has to be enabled in the User Configuration file of Agility.
System Administrator, Project Administrator, Project Lead, Member Administrator or Planning Administrator can now perform the following actions:
- Create and edit ValueStreams and Releases
- Restrict Agility users from closing a Release if it contains active work items
As part of the ValueStream enhancement Agility now stores the following ValueStream Fields:
- Value Stream Name
- Create by
- Last Edited by
As part of the Release enhancement Agility now stores the following Release Fields:
- Release Name
- Tags
- Version Number
- Release Date
- Release Goals
- Links
Banner to Announce Deprecation of legacy Planning Level Workspace or Project Workspace
The legacy Planning Level Workspace or Project Workspace will be removed from the application with the Agility 25.3 release in October 2025.
After the October Agility 25.3 2025 release, the legacy workspace will no longer be accessible. We encourage Agility users to begin transitioning to the new Project Workspace now to take full advantage of its updated features and improved functionality.
To access the Planning Level Workspace (New), click the hamburger menu > Admin > Asset Customization > Planning Level Workspace Assets (New)
