Release SaaS – Limitations and Usage Restrictions
The Digital.ai Release SaaS Trial Edition is designed for evaluation and learning purposes. It offers a streamlined cloud environment with a subset of features and resources compared to the full saas/on-premises editions.

All limitations and restrictions described below apply only to the Release SaaS Trial environment.
Feature Limitations
The following features and capabilities are not available in the Release SaaS Trial Edition:

- Plugin management
- Remote scripting tasks
- Python and Go SDKs
- XL CLI
- Release-Backstage integration
- Release Runner
Configuration & Variables
- Global connections
- Global and folder variables (only release variables are supported)
- Applications and environments
- Dashboard configuration (only default dashboards with pre-defined settings)
- Tag auto-complete
APIs & Automation
- Jython and DSL APIs (only REST API is supported)
- Jython for preconditions (only Expression Language is supported)
- Triggers (including webhook event triggers)
Analytics & Insights
- Analytics, DORA metrics, and workflow analytics
- Release with Delivery Insights
Other Limitations
- Risk settings in General Settings (view-only)
- Live deployments
- Failure handling: The Define additional action option is disabled (only Skip Task and Restart Phase are available)
Resource and Usage Restrictions
The following resource limits and restrictions apply to all accounts in the Release SaaS Trial Edition:

| Service Accounts | None | Unlimited service accounts. |
| Connectors | None | Unlimited connectors. |
| Role Bindings | None | Unlimited role assignments. |

| Dashboard | None | No custom dashboards; only default dashboards available. |
| Workflow Catalog | None | Only out-of-the-box workflows available. |
| Runners | None | Remote runners cannot be created for plugins. |
