Initial Setup for Android Auto

Before running Android Auto tests, complete a one-time setup on both your mobile device and the Android Auto interface. This setup ensures proper communication between your device, Mobile Studio, and the Android Auto projected environment during testing.

1. Open the Android device in Mobile Studio.

2. Start an Android Auto test on the target device.

3. Accept any permission pop-ups inside Mobile Studio.

4. On the device, tap Continue when the confirmation message appears.

   

5. On the Android Auto (car) display, tap Accept/Continue to finalize the setup.

After completing both authorization steps (device + car display), the Android Auto environment becomes fully initialized. This setup enables stable automated test execution. Repeating the process is necessary only if permissions are revoked, the app is reinstalled, or the device undergoes a factory reset.
