Retrospectives
A Retrospective is a meeting held by a project team at the end of a sprint, release, or project to inspect and adapt their processes and teamwork. Using the Retrospectives page, you can:
- Capture the important details of a retrospective meeting, such as agendas, discussion notes, and areas for improvement
- Identify backlog items or issues discussed in the meeting
Creating a New Retrospective
To create a new retrospective:
- Click the hamburger menu
> Sprint > Retrospectives.

Conducting Retrospectives
When the team gathers to conduct its retrospective, you can capture notes and to-dos along the way or choose to summarize them after the fact. General items that are too fuzzy or just don't need to be prioritized as part of the backlog can be captured as Issues. Those that are solid and need to be prioritized within the backlog can be captured as backlog items.
To conduct a retrospective:
- Click the hamburger menu
> Sprint > Retrospectives.
- Select the retrospective with which you want to associate a backlog item and click Conduct to the far right of the grid. The Retrospective Conductor window opens.
| If you want to... | Then.... |
|---|---|
| Capture Notes | Click Edit and update the Summary, then click Save. |
| Create a new issue | Click Add Issue and enter the issue details as needed, then click Save. |
| Assign an existing issue to the retrospective | 1. Open the Add Issue drop-down and choose Assign Issue. The Issues Selection window opens. 2. In the window, click Add next to the issue you want to assign. 3. Click Close Window to return to the Retrospective Conductor window. Your newly-assigned issue appears in the grid. |
| Create a new backlog item | Click Add Backlog Items and enter the story details as needed, then click Save. |
Editing or Closing a Retrospective

- Click the hamburger menu
> Sprint > Retrospectives.
