SeeTestAutomation- System Requirements
Product Status
- SeeTestAutomation is currently in maintenance mode.
- Digital.ai is no longer actively developing new features for this tool.
- Only critical bug fixes (showstopper issues) that impact existing customers will be addressed.
SeeTestAutomation uses the same device connectivity infrastructure as Digital.ai Testing. Therefore, supported device versions align with the devices supported in the Digital.ai cloud.
Please note that this tool is classified as a Legacy tool. We recommend transitioning to our updated solutions to maintain optimal performance and security in your workflows. For more information on this matter, please reach out to technical support .
The following are recommended system requirements, for any computer you wish to use to install SeeTest Automation.
Hardware Requirements

For optimal performance when running multiple devices or emulators, Digital.ai recommends:
- 16 GB RAM
- SSD storage
Supported Host Operating Systems

Older operating system versions may work but are not officially validated.
Limitation: iOS 17 and Later on Windows
Due to changes introduced by Apple, devices running iOS 17 and later cannot be connected to Windows machines.
For these devices:
- Device connections require a macOS host machine
- Windows hosts cannot establish a device connection
- This limitation applies to local device testing
To test devices running iOS 17 and later:
- Connect the device through a macOS machine
- Or use devices available in the Digital.ai Continuous Testing cloud
Supported Devices
SeeTestAutomation supports the same device versions that are supported in the Digital.ai Continuous Testing cloud device lab.
If a device version is supported in the cloud, it is generally supported by SeeTestAutomation when running on a compatible host operating system.
