Why doesn't the Workitem Summary on the My Work page show all the defects I own?

The Workitem Summary section of the My Work page shows work items that are currently assigned to an active sprint or iteration.

The Owned Defects grid shows all defects that are currently assigned to a member, including ones that are not assigned to a sprint or iteration.
