Use the Hamburger Menu
The hamburger menu in the top-left corner provides access to all major Agility features organized by planning level and activity type.
Who uses the hamburger menu
All users navigate Agility through the hamburger menu:
- Team members: Access Rooms, Product, Sprint, Reports, and Collaboration
- Product owners: Use Portfolio, Product, Release Planning, and Reports
- Scrum masters: Focus on Sprint, Rooms, Reports, and Collaboration
- Administrators: Access all features plus Admin for system configuration
- Portfolio managers: Primarily use Portfolio, Product, and Reports
Menu visibility: You only see menu options relevant to your permissions and edition. Contact your administrator if expected menu items are missing.
Menu structure
The hamburger menu is aligned with the Project Navigator, allowing you to work within selected projects at different planning levels.

The hamburger menu provides access to these features:
- Rooms: TeamRooms, PlanningRooms, and My Room for tracking your work
- OKRs: Objectives and key results tracking (Enterprise and Ultimate editions)
- Portfolio: Portfolio-level planning, roadmaps, budgets, and strategic themes
- Product: Product backlog, backlog goals, tests, and issues
- Increment: Increment planning and tracking across multiple teams (Enterprise and Ultimate editions)
- Iteration: Iteration planning, tracking, and review activities
- Release Planning: Release scheduling, forecasting, and regression planning
- Reports: Program, release, iteration, and team health reports

Hamburger menu features
Rooms
The Rooms menu displays the rooms you're a member of, providing quick access to your active TeamRooms and PlanningRooms.
When you click Rooms, you see:
- Search field: Quickly find specific rooms by typing room names
- Your rooms: A list of all rooms you're assigned to (TeamRooms and PlanningRooms for your projects)
- My Room: Your personal workspace for tracking work, managing your inbox, timesheets, and subscriptions
- All TeamRooms: View all TeamRooms across projects you have access to
- All PlanningRooms: View all PlanningRooms across projects you have access to
My Room provides a central location to track all your work including inbox, timesheets, subscriptions, and saved filters. Access it by clicking the hamburger menu > Rooms > My Room.
What you see: The Rooms list shows only the rooms for projects where you are assigned as a team member. If you do not see a specific room, contact your administrator to verify your project membership.

Portfolio
The Portfolio menu provides access to strategic planning and tracking tools organized into Planning and Tracking sections.
When you click Portfolio, you see:
Planning:
- Portfolio Tree: View and manage your portfolio hierarchy and structure
- Roadmaps: Create and visualize product roadmaps and timelines
- Team Forecasting: Plan team capacity and forecast delivery across the portfolio
- Budgets: Track and manage portfolio budgets and financial planning
- Strategic Themes: Define and track strategic themes across your portfolio
- Portfolio Item Templates: Create and manage templates for portfolio items
Tracking:
- Portfolio Kanban: Visualize portfolio items through Kanban board workflow
- Project Timeline: Track project timelines and milestones across the portfolio
- Value Stream Board: Monitor cross-team sprint activities and value delivery

Product
Plan and manage your product backlog, input sources, and ideas:
Planning:
- Backlog: Manage stories, defects, and other work items
- Backlog Groups: Organize backlog items into logical groupings
- Backlog Goals: Set and track goals for backlog completion
- Dependency Board: Visualize and manage dependencies across work items
Input:
- Requests: Capture and review incoming feature requests
- Issues: Track and manage issues, bugs, and technical debt
- Regression Tests: Manage regression test cases and test execution
- Templates: Use and customize work item templates
- Import: Import backlogs from Excel or other tools
Ideas:
- Ideas: Review and evaluate product ideas from stakeholders
- Ideas Forums: Participate in idea discussions and voting
- Ideas Users: Manage users who can submit and vote on ideas
Increment
Plan and track program increment activities:
Planning:
- Increment Scheduling: Schedule and plan program increments across multiple teams
- Regression Planning: Plan regression testing activities for the increment
- Team Scheduling: Coordinate team schedules and capacity planning
Tracking:
- Increment Forecasting: Forecast and track increment progress and completion
- Program Board: Visualize cross-team dependencies and increment delivery status
Edition note: Increment features are available in Enterprise and Ultimate editions.
Iteration
Plan, track, and review iteration activities:
Iteration Planning:
- Iteration Scheduling: Schedule and plan iterations
- Detail Planning: Plan detailed work items and tasks
- Member Planning: Assign work to team members
- Issues: Track iteration-specific issues and roadblocks
- Member Capacity: Define and manage team capacity
Iteration Tracking:
- Detail Tracking: Monitor progress on detailed work items
- Member Tracking: Track individual team member contributions
- Storyboard: Visualize story progress and workflow
- Taskboard: Manage and track task completion
- Testboard: Track testing activities and test case execution
- Issues: Monitor and resolve iteration issues
Review:
- Close Iteration: Complete and close out the iteration
- Retrospectives: Conduct team retrospectives and capture learnings
Release Planning
Manage value streams and plan product releases:
- Value Stream: Create and manage value streams to organize your release planning
- Release Scheduling: Schedule and plan product releases within value streams
- Regression Planning: Plan regression testing cycles for releases
- Forecasting: Forecast release completion based on team velocity and capacity
- Dependency Management: Identify and track cross-team feature dependencies
- Capacity Planning: Understand team workload and capacity across releases
Value streams help you organize multiple releases and track delivery of value to customers.
Reports
Access comprehensive reports to track progress and make informed decisions:
- Search: Quickly search for specific reports
- Scorecard: View high-level project health and progress metrics
- Member Dashboard: Track individual team member performance and workload
- Timesheet Audit: Review and audit timesheet entries
- Velocity Trend: Analyze team velocity trends over time
- Project Burndown: Monitor project progress and remaining work
- Sprint Dashboard: View sprint-specific metrics and progress
- All Reports: Access the complete catalog of available reports
- Legacy Analytics: Access older analytics and reporting features
You can also create custom reports and dashboards to track metrics specific to your team's needs.
Collaboration
Communicate and collaborate with your team through conversations and communities:
Conversations:
- Search: Find specific conversations across your projects
- Your Conversations: View conversations for projects you're assigned to
- All Conversations: Access all available conversations in your organization
Communities:
- Browse Communities: Explore available communities based on roles, interests, or topics
- Join Communities: Connect with other Agility users in practice-specific communities (Agile at Scale, Agile Developers, Agile Gurus, Agile Teams, Agile Testers, UX Designers, etc.)
- Welcome Guide: Get started with communities and collaboration features
Conversations are project-specific discussion threads, while Communities are cross-organizational groups where users can share knowledge and best practices.

View version information and system details:
- Version Information: Check your current Agility version
- Edition Details: See which edition you're using (Enterprise, Ultimate, etc.)
- License Information: View your license details and expiration
- System Status: Check system health and performance metrics
Admin
Configure and administer your Agility instance through organized categories:
- Overview: Access the admin dashboard and summary
- Configuration: System-wide settings, tags, terminology, transitions, applications, publications, and banner messages
- Projects: Project management, sprint schedules, member roles, programs, test suites, and pipelines
- Members: Team members, guest collaborators, project assignments, roles, and member groups
- Teams: Team structures and process management
- Asset Customization: Custom fields, list types, columns, tags, workspace assets, and required fields

Permission required: Only System Administrators and Project Administrators can access the Admin menu.

Troubleshooting
Can't see the Admin menu?
Only System Administrators and users with Project Administrator permissions can access the Admin menu. Contact your administrator if you need system configuration access.
Missing specific menu items?
Menu visibility depends on:
- Your edition: Increment requires Enterprise or Ultimate edition
- Your permissions: Admin requires administrative permissions
- Project assignments: You must be assigned to at least one project to see Portfolio, Product, Sprint menus
Verify your edition (hamburger menu > About Agility) and contact your administrator to adjust permissions or project assignments.
Can't access a specific planner?
Ensure you're a member of at least one project. Use the Project Navigator (planning level selector) to select a project context. If you still don't see the expected menu, verify your project role with your administrator.
Increment menu not visible?
Increment features are available in Enterprise and Ultimate editions only. Check your edition (hamburger menu > About Agility). Contact your administrator to upgrade if needed.
