Increment Planning Reports
Increment Planning Reports provide historical data analysis to guide increment planning decisions and optimize delivery strategy.
Permission requirement: Viewing increment planning reports requires read access to the projects, increments, teams, and work items included in the report scope.
Who Uses Increment Planning Reports
Reports support data-driven increment planning and retrospectives:
- Product Owners use velocity trend reports and estimation accuracy reports to set realistic increment commitments based on team historical performance.
- Program Managers review portfolio item cumulative flow and roadmap reports to track strategic progress across multiple teams and increments.
- Scrum Masters analyze standup dashboard and velocity reports during planning sessions to help teams commit to achievable sprint work.
- Portfolio Managers examine project dashboard and parking lot reports to assess increment health, identify risks, and communicate status to executives.

Troubleshooting
Why don't I see data in increment planning reports?
Reports require work items with estimates assigned to increments and sprints. If reports show no data, verify that your increments have scheduled work items, teams have completed sprints with estimates, and you have read access to the projects included in the report scope.
Why does my velocity report show zero or inconsistent data?
Velocity calculation requires completed work items with estimates in closed sprints. Verify your team consistently closes sprints, completes estimated work, and uses consistent estimation units (points, hours). Check that work items are properly marked as Done/Complete.
Can I filter reports to show only specific teams or projects?
Yes. Most increment planning reports include filter options for projects, teams, sprints, and work item types. Use the report configuration panel to select the scope you want to analyze. Saved filters can be reused for consistent reporting.
Why don't my custom reports appear in the Available Reports list?
Custom Analytics reports require Ultimate Edition and appropriate Analytics permissions. If you have Ultimate Edition but don't see custom reports, verify your Analytics access with your administrator.
