Map View in OKRs
The Map View in OKRs provides a visual representation of the hierarchical relationship between Objectives and Key Results (KRs). With a single click, you can see your OKR's parent objective (what it cascades up to) and its children objectives and key results (what cascades down from it), all in one connected tree. Each node displays status badges (In Progress, Not Started, etc.) and owner avatars, so you can instantly see where things stand and who is driving them.
The Map View makes it simple to understand how different goals are related and aligned across the organization. You can see how objectives ladder up from team execution to company-level goals, spot dependencies between OKRs, and understand how each objective fits into the broader organizational strategy.
Why Use Map View in OKRs
Map View shows cascading OKR relationships, allowing you to explore deeper hierarchical structures beyond what you can see in the standard Details tab.
Map View benefits:
- See the full cascade: Understand alignment from company-level objectives down to team execution in a single view
- Spot dependencies fast: Know which OKRs are connected to yours, who owns them, and how they are tracking
- Explore deeper hierarchies: Navigate through nested objectives and key results beyond what the Details tab shows
- Drive better conversations: Bring the map into 1:1s, reviews, and planning sessions to keep everyone aligned on the bigger picture

Understand Cascade Hierarchy
Each objective in Map View shows its position in the cascade hierarchy:
- Cascade up: The parent objective that the current OKR contributes to. An objective can cascade up to only one parent objective.
- Cascade down: The child objectives and key results that contribute to the current OKR. An objective can have multiple children cascading down from it.
This structure helps you understand alignment from top-level company objectives down to individual team and execution-level goals.
