Release Summary

• Digital.ai Agility:

  • Experimental feature toggle to preview the next generation navigation

  • Portfolio Items

    • The History tab of a Portfolio Item now includes updates related to Strategic Themes.
    • Added Story Count and Defect Count columns to the Portfolio Tree.
    • Added ability to add a child defect from the Portfolio Item Quick Add menu.
    • Filters and Group By option in Roadmaps screen now only display rows that match the filter or Group By criteria.

    • Added ability to create templates using existing stories.
    • When bulk closing workitems, you can close only the resolved workitems without closing unresolved workitems or canceling the operation.
    • When bulk closing workitems, if "Enforce Soft Requirement of values at Close" is enabled, you can close only the resolved workitems without closing unresolved workitems or canceling the operation.
    • Added ability to use filters in the Dependency board to refine data.

  • Added the ability to disable webhooks after a pre-configured probation period and trigger event-based email notifications.

  • Performance updates

  • Webhook refactoring to help avoid unwanted events coming into the system. This will help in improving the incoming events performance.
  • Centralized logging moved to cloud watch which will reduce the load in and Document DB.
  • Common framework enhancements to integrate with third-party tools.

Experimental feature toggle to preview the next generation navigation

We are working on a new navigation and header section to make things simpler and more intuitive. You can now get a sneak peek into this interface by enabling the Header and Navigation experimental feature.

Once enabled, you can access the new navigation using the hamburger icon at the top-left and the new header section at the top of the page.

Portfolio Items

Added "Story Count" and "Defect Count" columns to the Portfolio Tree

We have added Story Count and Defect Count columns to the Portfolio Tree as customization options. These columns display a count of stories and defects associated with each portfolio item and its child portfolio items.

Added "Unplanned" and "Out of Scope" columns to the Sprint or Iteration Planning Board.

The "Unplanned" column shows dependencies within the same planning level that are not planned for a sprint or iteration. The "Out of Scope" column shows dependencies that are outside the planning level and not part of the sprint or iteration schedule of the current planning level.

Workitems can be moved from Unplanned column to a sprint or iteration column. But no other movements across a sprint/iteration, Unplanned, and Out of Scope columns are possible.

In the Sprint or Iteration Planning board, the Planned and Target points row is frozen along with the header row so that the user can see points while scrolling down the board.

Ability to create templates using existing stories

We have added the ability to create templates using existing stories. Prior to this release, a template could only be created from the ground up. With this option, you can now use an existing story to create a template.

The Create Template option is available in all open stories but only in closed stories in the current sprint or iteration.

Ability to disable webhooks after a probation period and trigger event-based email notifications

Added the ability to disable webhooks after a pre-configured probation period and trigger event-based email notifications.

You can now configure the number of retries (default value: 5) and a probation period (default value: 12 hours) in the web.config file to handle a webhook failure.

• The probation period starts upon the first failure.
• Webhook execution will be attempted multiple times until the number of retries is exceeded and the probation period ends.
• Configured admin emails and the webhook owner will receive email notifications for events such as webhook failure or success, or beginning or end of the probation period.

Usability improvements

• Clicking the mascot icon resets the owner filter in the boards.
• Added ability to add tags when creating a new Team from the Teams page.
• Added ability to undelete member groups.
• Added ability to add a child defect from the Portfolio Item Quick Add menu.

Performance Updates

There have been several performance updates recently. These changes were made available in point releases as they were completed. Below is a recap of those changes.

• Improved performance in retrieving status information in the board.

Other Enhancements and Updates

Here is a list of items included in this release which were completed since the Version 22.1 release. Most, if not all, of these items were available in previous point releases.

Enhancements

• When searching for an asset, special characters such as "&" and "-" entered in the search string are not interpreted as logical search operators. To search using operators, use the long hand notation and enclose the search string with double quotes. For example, use "asset AND title" instead of "asset & title".
• Added "Tag" and "More Filters" filter options to the Teams page for better filtering.
• Added the Show Deleted Member Groups filter to the Member Groups page. This option helps you see deleted member group and view all deleted and active member groups that a member is associated with.

Fixed

• Removing all members from the Standup tool in no longer causes the Standup tool to crash.
• Exporting a published roadmap as PDF no longer requires authentication.
• Fixed the issue that caused Portfolio Items to take a long time to render when filters were applied in the Portfolio Kanban Board.
• Resolved the "Unable to display" error message that occurred when adding a Backlog Item inline and changing the Project field from the default value to a different value.
• In the Storyboard view, if a tag filter was applied and a story or defect was created , the tag used in the filter would show in the create window but would not be saved in the story or defect. This is now fixed.
• Fixed the issue of Portfolio Items overlapping when expanded or collapsed in the Roadmap Timeline view.
• Fixed PDF generation issues in the Roadmap screens.
• Fixed the "Internal Server Error" issue with the Sprint or Iteration Planning Board caused when Additional Details or Blocked Attribute customization options are selected.
• When creating a new portfolio item from another portfolio item using the "Create From" option, the Owner field retained the original owner information even after a new owner was assigned. This is now fixed and the new portfolio item will only retain information about the new owner.
• Fixed localization issue that caused incorrect asset names to be displayed.
• Added a validation check for Rollup State value inserted or updated via the UI, API or an Excel sheet import.
• Fixed the Scope Change Report to correctly identify scope changes occurring after midnight based on the timezone configured in .
• Fixed the Test Trend Report to use the timezone configured in .
• "Created date" and "User Last Activity" in Ideas now use the timezone configured in instead of the server timezone.
• Fixed the assets' "Delivered On" date and the members' "Last Access Date" to be configured by the timezone set within instead of the server's configured timezone
• Fixed issue where sub-menus were not available for configuration management features.
