Enhancements​

  • Release Planning feature is now disabled by default
  • Associate Releases with Stories and Defects

Release Planning Feature Disabled by Default​

The Release Planning feature is now disabled by default in system settings. Administrators must explicitly enable this feature before users can access Release Planning functionality.

Associate Releases with Stories and Defects​

Associate releases directly with your Stories and Defects from their core asset details pages. Track release assignments more effectively and manage work items across releases.

What you can do​

  • Select releases when you create new Stories or Defects
  • View and change release associations in asset summary window
  • Update release assignments directly in grid views
  • Track release changes in your My Recent Changes feed
  • Manage releases with enhanced modal options (history, edit, quick close, delete)

How to use the Release field​

  • Choose releases easily: Select from "Value Stream Name - Release Name" format (example: "Agility - Earth", "Deploy - Alpha")
  • Assign one release per item: Each Story or Defect connects to a single release
  • Find releases by value stream: Release options group by value stream for faster selection
  • Track all changes: View release field updates in asset history and Recent Changes

Requirements​

Enable Release Planning in system configuration to see the Release field in Story and Defect assets. Contact your administrator if the Release field doesn't appear.
