Enhancements

• Project Managers and Release Managers can now Close or Delete a Release once all its primary work items have been completed.
• Added an option to Configure backlog panel in Release planning board view.

Close or Delete a Release

Managing your workspace is crucial for maintaining an up-to-date and organized environment. To facilitate this, you can now finalize a release by closing it or remove it entirely by performing a deletion.

Procedure to close or delete a release:

1. Click the hamburger icon > Release Planning.
2. Locate the release you want to close or delete.
3. Ensure all primary work items in the release are marked as completed.
4. Click the ellipsis icon (:) to open the pop-up menu.
   • Select Quick Close to close the Release
   • Select Delete to delete the release
5. Confirm whether you want to Delete the Release, click Delete.

Configure Backlog Panel in Release Planning Board View

Agility allows users to filter which backlog items appear in the Release Planning board view by selecting a planning level.

Procedure to configure the backlog panel

1. Click the hamburger icon > Release Planning.
2. In the Value Stream dropdown, select the desired value stream.
3. The Release Planning Board View is displayed.
4. In the Backlog column, open the Planning Level selector.
5. Choose the planning level you want to view.
6. The backlog panel updates to show only items for that planning level.
7. From here, you can assign items to a release or add new work items directly to a release.
